Rigging Sales Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
Identify and resolve client concerns.
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
Other duties as assigned.

Previous experience in Rigging or heavy construction industry preferred
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of sales or marketing experience.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license within 60 days of employment.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.


Project Manager 

 The project manager will be held responsible for the oversight of the execution of each job he or she manages. The project manager's main objective will be to manage the SAFE and PROFITABLE completion of each job under their management. Along the way, the project manager must also focus and become successful with the following: implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete and maintain all "Job Tracking" spreadsheets and reports
• Maintain a high level of customer service communication for the duration of each project
• Maintain professional communication with all Crew Leads for the duration of each project
• Maintain awareness of all crew's daily goals and activities
• Manage and report on the performance of the crew leads that run each project
• Provide input, assistance, and feedback while onsite for each job
• Maintain an "Onsite" presence by putting boots on 90% of managed projects
• Provide all required reports to the Account Executive (sales person) and upper management in a punctual manner
• Maintain accurate and high quality reports
• Manage and maintain a flawless safety report for 100% of managed jobs
• Complete and submit accurate and detailed lift plans per GC/client requirements
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly duties are completed timely and as assigned

• Minimum of three (3) years Rigging, Crane, and/or Construction experience required
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Must possess excellent leadership skills with the ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Should be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus


Construction Rigging Foreman

 The Construction Rigging Foreman is expected to provide implemental instruction to team members based on the scope of work, while also working as the company representative with vendors and customers.  The Foreman will be lifting and hoisting, positioning, moving, and transporting heavy loads of other members of the crew team in a safe manner.  Rigging relocations of the commercial and industrial equipment are relied heavily upon as a core service of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Track and maintain paperwork of any changes that occur while on the job
• Log billable hours on the job by filling out the timesheet
• Responsible for performance of crew and customer satisfaction
• Communicate all factors of the job to Operations Manager
• Accountable for all equipment and tools used during the job
• Lift & hoist, position, move & transport heavy loads
• Set up and rig large-scale equipment
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and/or structures
• Test mechanical products or equipment
• Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
• Signal directions or warnings to coworkers
• Understand crane operations and signal directions or warnings to crane operator
• Install, maintain, and dispose batteries
• Lift, load, and unload trucks

• OSHA certified in Forklift Operation
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy construction
• Certified Rigger preferred
• CDL driver's license a plus

• Strong knowledge of safety laws and regulations
• Working knowledge of heavy hauling and crane construction
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds
• Must be capable of training Rigging Apprentices to become Foremen while holding the position
• Must be able to multi-task
• Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends, as necessary


Dispatch / Logistics Assistant

Summary: This is a skilled position requiring a thorough understanding of the Rigging/Construction industry. The Dispatch / Logistics Assistant is responsible for scheduling personnel based on customer orders.  The Dispatch / Logistics Assistant must be aware of special job site requirements that require specific trucks, equipment, etc. The Dispatch / Logistics Assistant must be customer service minded, be able to keep a level head under stressful conditions, and work long hours when needed.

To be successful in this position, the Dispatch / Logistics Assistant must demonstrate the ability to stay focused, possess leadership skills, and work as a team player.
He/she must have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with other staff, employees, and the general public.  The Dispatch / Logistics Assistant must communicate information clearly and effectively.
It is also vital for the Dispatch / Logistics Assistant to comply with all company safety programs, policies and procedures. The Dispatch / Logistics Assistant must be able to pass a drug screening test and work in a drug free workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, routes trucks and rigs, and schedules work
• Maintains viable relationship with customers at all times, while ensuring customers' needs are taken care of in a timely and consistent manner
• Coordinates and schedules equipment and personnel as needed
• Provides accurate accident, safety, and various other related reports as required
• Responsible for performing job independently without continual job supervision
• Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor
• Adheres to Company policies and work requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Previous dispatch experience strongly preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the Rigging/Construction industry
• Working knowledge of heavy hauling and crane construction
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Must be able to multi-task
• High degree if initiative and independent execution
• Must be willing to work Mon - Fri / weekends as necessary


Crane Operator 

Summary: A&A Transfer, Inc. is currently looking for a qualified Crane Operator in Chantilly, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane
• Drives machine to work site
• Directs workers engaged in placing blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing of machine when lifting heavy loads
• Inspects, cleans, and lubricates equipment and performs minor repairs
• Other duties, as required

• Candidate must possess excellent work ethic and communication skills
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience
• Must have current NCCCO certification
• Must hold a current CDL license
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends/nights (as needed)
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must comply with Company safety rules and OSHA standards


CDL Driver

Summary: The CDL Driver is accountable for safely driving A&A Class A vehicles, trucks, and trailers to deliver products to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate Class A trucks and trailers
• Lift, load, and unload trucks
• Operate forklifts to load and unload truck materials
• Provide timely and courteous delivery of materials between various types of establishments
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition (including a clean truck)
• Report unsafe acts or conditions that require the attention of any person other than the driver
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any deficiencies, hazards, or concerns
• Perform pre- and post-trip load inspections, ensuring materials are loaded properly; straps are secured and tightened; and communicate any problems or concerns with loads before beginning a trip or unloading at delivery site
• Verify load / delivery paperwork matches load every trip before leaving the site
• Accurately record time on duty, driving, off duty, and pre and post trip inspections
• Operate vehicle according to all federal, state, and local laws, including those pertaining to Department of Transportation regulations
• Report any vehicle, load, or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor
• Maintain a professional appearance and driving manner, and provide excellent customer service at all delivery sites

• At least two years of related experience is required
• Must hold a Commercial Driver's License Class A, with a sufficiently clear driving record
• Ability to safely drive various types of vehicles
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and customers
• Must be physically able to perform all tasks required, and have ability to lift a minimum of approximately 100 lbs.
• Must be willing to work Mon - Fri / weekends
